Welcome to Honor in Horses

We would love to share with you who we are, and there is no better way to do that than to let you get to know the founder and woman behind it all.

Hello, I am Nicole Kallstrom

Growing up surrounded by horses, I quickly developed a passion for riding, particularly in Barrel Racing. My journey began on my parents’ horse, Rosie (Major Debut), and it wasn’t long before I began to win numerous titles, horse trailers, buckles, and saddles. A pivotal moment came when my family purchased Blondie (Biankus Frenchgirl) for $1,800 at a local auction. As a yearling, she captured my heart and later grew to become a champion in her own right, holding the fastest time on a WPRA standard pattern for four years with a record of 16.643 seconds.

In 2014, I faced a turning point when horse injuries forced me to step back from competition. This challenge led me to reevaluate my priorities and deepened my trust and understanding of our Creator and of Creation as a whole. Since then, I’ve infused these truths into my coaching and riding, emphasizing a holistic approach that transcends mere competition. I love creating value for others and their horses, and my years of experience have shown me a better way to care for and steward these incredible animals. I believe that compromise is not necessary for success, and I bring the ability to nurture and draw out the vision that is deep within you that you may not initially be able to see for yourself. My own setbacks have taught me that overcoming initial resistance by pressing in rather than working against, can lead you to achieve your goals with more grace than you ever imagined possible, and I am here to support you through the challenging and beautiful parts of your journey.

Currently, I am cross-training in French Classical Dressage under the amazing truth seeking woman, Pippa Callanan, and discovering how this philosophy enhances my barrel racing techniques and ultimately benefits my horses to levels I didn’t dream were possible. I’m excited to announce my goal of returning to professional rodeo in 2025, with aspirations to qualify for the National Finals Rodeo, all while honoring my horses and Creator in the way I know in my heart of hearts is possible and is calling out to each of us.

Reflecting on my journey since 2014, I am grateful for YHWH’s steadfast promises. In times of trouble, I have called upon Him and have experienced His faithful rescue time and again. My greatest desire is to honor Him in every aspect of my life, including the gift of my horses, and share this gift with those who are seeking a deeper meaning to life and in barrel racing.

May it ever be increasingly so,

"Call upon Me in the day of trouble. When I rescue you, you will honor Me.”

Psalm 50:15, TLV
